On view from 25 April 2024 – 2 June 2024, Abdur Rahman Muhammad synthesizes national history, observations of contemporary life, and inspiration from the lyrical finesse of rap in order to create a visual dialogue, inviting viewers to engage with the layered chronicles of migration, disillusionment, and hope embedded within each stroke and texture.
On view from February 15 – March 31, 2024, At the core of Aina’s practice is the examination of his pursuit of belonging. His experiences living in a foreign country encouraged him to turn towards his internal psychological landscape for a foundation. This personal journey led him to a deeper knowledge of his faith, and turned his gaze upwards towards the ultimate Creator.

On view from April 6 to May 28 2023, Gabriel Choto presents large-scale wooden windows in oil on Somerset paper and delves into deeply personal narratives of grappling with grief and depression due to suppressed emotions shaped by trapped, constructed cultural norms where it is not socially acceptable for men to express their feelings.
